§ 6-13. Investigation of departments by the fire commission, fire marshal or designee.

  • The fire commission, fire marshal or designee shall make regular inspections of each fire department receiving payments under this article. At least one inspection shall be made annually, but the commission, fire marshal or designee may make such other inspections as it deems advisable. During the course of any such inspection, the fire commission, fire marshal or designee shall determine whether the department is continuing to meet the minimum standards as required by local, state and federal standards, regulations and law, and the findings of the commission, fire marshal or designee shall be reported to the board of county commissioners.
