§ 14-28. County convenience and recycling container sites.

County convenience and recycling container sites shall be provided throughout the county for use by residents of the county. Solid waste containers are for the collection of residential refuse, garbage, furniture, mattresses, and bedding generated and discarded on a routine basis. Recycling containers are for the collection of accepted recyclables generated and discarded on a routine basis. The solid waste and recycling container sites, with exception to Otway, Hibbs Road, and Highway 58, are not intended for collection of large quantities of accumulated or stored materials, bulky items, materials requiring specialized handling or any item not acceptable at the landfill as cited in this article, except as provided for at designated solid waste and recycling container sites and listed as follows:

Tires (off the rims);

(3)

Woody C&D;

(4)

Waste oil;

(5)

Leaf and yard waste;

(6)

Lead acid batteries.
