§ 10. Administration, Enforcement and Penalties.

    Appendix Enforcement. The County Building Inspector or Zoning Enforcement Officer are hereby designated the Enforcement Officers with the duties of enforcing the provisions of this Appendix.

    B.

    Violations of this Appendix and Penalties. Each violation of this Appendix or any Regulations, order or ruling promulgated or made pursuant to this Appendix, shall constitute a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $500.00 or imprisonment for not more than 30 days or by both such fine and imprisonment, and each day a violation continues to exist shall constitute a separate offense. Additionally, Carteret County may institute in the District or Superior Courts of Carteret County an action to prevent, restrain, correct or abate any violation of this Appendix, pursuant to Chapter 63 of the North Carolina General Statutes, or any order or ruling made in connection with its administration or enforcement, to include such relief as injunction, mandamus, or otherwise, as may be proper under the facts and circumstances of the case or in order to effectuate the purposes of this Appendix or the rules and Regulations adopted pursuant thereto.
