§ 6-17. Designation of district, boundaries.

Whenever a fire department has met the requirements of the North Carolina Department of Insurance for providing fire protection to a Grade 9S or 9E Community, a fire district may, upon application by the fire department, thereupon be designated by the board of county commissioners. The boundaries of the district will be fixed according to the requirements of the Office of the State Fire Marshal, North Carolina Department of Insurance.
