§ 2-58. Composition, appointment.

The county planning commission shall be appointed by the board of county commissioners and shall consist of nine members who are county residents.

All current members of the county planning board shall continue to serve as members until their respective terms expire or they resign. After the current planning board members' terms expire, then the county may replace those members pursuant to the planning/zoning and subdivision ordinances or regulations that have been adopted in accordance with G.S. 153A-3 pursuant to Article 18 of Chapter 153A of the General Statutes.
