§ 11-47. Definition.

  • For the purposes of this article, the term "mass gathering" shall mean the congregation or assembly of more than 1,000 people in an open space or open air, in which admission is charged in reasonable contemplation of profit, including mass gatherings organized or held for any purpose, but this definition shall not include assemblies in permanent buildings or permanent structures designed or intended for use by large numbers of people.
