§ 10-58. Vehicles without license plates, vehicle identification numbers.

The provisions of section 10-52 regarding the procedure and method of removal of the disposal of vehicles do not apply to a vehicle not displaying a license plate and for which the vehicle identification number has been removed or defaced so as to be illegal. Any such vehicles may be destroyed or sold at private sale (without regard to value) after being held for 48 hours.
