§ 10-52. Penalty for violations.

A violation of this article shall constitute a misdemeanor and shall be punished as provided by section 1-6 of this Code. For a violation of this article a penalty in the amount of $5.00 shall be imposed. If the penalty is not paid within ten days following the issuance of a parking ticket on the vehicle by the enforcement officer designated herein, the county is authorized to cause to be issued a complaint or warrant for the arrest of such violation. The $5.00 penalty shall be payable in the county finance office.
